Abstract

Annotation: The development of science in the UK can be traced back to the
medieval period, with early contributions from figures such as Roger Bacon and
William of Ockham. However, it was during the Scientific Revolution of the 17 th
century that the UK began to make significant advancements in science. This period
saw the work of scientists such as Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, and Robert Hooke,
who made groundbreaking discoveries in physics, chemistry, and biology.
