This article delves into the nuances of comma usage in Uzbek and English,
shedding light on the distinct punctuation conventions that shape written expression in
these languages. Beginning with a historical exploration, we unravel the evolution of
punctuation in both linguistic landscapes and its influence on contemporary practices.
Structural differences in sentence construction form a focal point, illustrating
how varying syntactical structures in Uzbek and English contribute to disparities in
comma placement. The article scrutinizes specific aspects such as list separation,
coordinating conjunctions, and the handling of relative clauses, providing a
comparative analysis that unveils the intricacies of each language's approach to
punctuation.
Of particular interest is the impact of comma usage on translation. By
