Аннотация

Abstract:This research delves into the intricate relationship between
punctuation and literary translation, shedding light on the historical evolution of
punctuation across languages and its profound impact on the faithful rendition of
written works. In the introduction, we establish the paramount importance of
punctuation in conveying meaning and preserving the author's intent during the
translation process. The methods section employs a chronological approach,
unraveling the historical trajectory of punctuation from ancient manuscripts to the
standardized systems of the Renaissance. Results showcase key milestones,
emphasizing the cultural nuances that shape punctuation and its subsequent role in
translation.
Moving to the discussion, we synthesize findings, addressing the challenges
faced by translators in navigating diverse punctuation conventions and exploring the
interplay between punctuation, cultural nuances, and translation decisions. The
conclusion reaffirms the significance of punctuation in literary translation, while
recommendations offer practical insights for enhancing translation practices. Finally,
the abstract proposes avenues for future research, encouraging a deeper exploration of
specific languages, genres, and emerging technologies impacting punctuation in the
dynamic realm of literary translation.
