Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of motivation in foreign language learning.
Motivation is one of the key factor to increase foreign language proficiency. In this
study, we explore different definitions for the term motivation, types of motivation,
review of previous studies on importance of motivation and teachers’ role in improving
motivation in language acquisition.
